Principal’s Message

We, at M N Jha DAV, have always believed in the dictum, “our students are the ambassadors of our success.” and the first Principle of Education that we will adopt is that we have to make a MAN- a HUMAN BEING out of our students.

Einstein said :            “Religion without Science is Lame

                                          Science without religion is blind”

Education does not just refer to licking the pages of a Text Book and becoming a book-worm but Education is a tool that can free man from all bondages- ‘A tool for total emancipation’.

Maharishi Dayananda urged the people to go back to the Vedas – going back to the Vedas did not just refer to studying the scripture but was a call of the Maharishi to the people to go back to the roots.

The Vedas Tell Us – “ What is life and How to Live it”

9 X 3 = 27    Science

3 X 9 = 27    MIRACLE

Dayananda's Vedic message was to emphasize respect and reverence for other human beings, supported by the Vedic notion of the divine nature of the individual divine because the body was the temple where the human essence (soul or "atma") had the possibility to interface with the creator ("Paramatma"). In the ten principles of the Arya Samaj, he enshrined the idea that "All actions should be performed with the prime objective of benefiting mankind", as opposed to following dogmatic rituals or revering idols and symbols. The first five principles speak of Truth and the other five of a society with nobility, civics, co-living and disciplined life. In his own life, he interpreted moksha to be a lower calling (due to its benefit to one individual) than the calling to emancipate others.

It is here that we find the DAVian concept of Education fitting aptly in today’s scenario. An amalgamation of modern Science and technology with Vedic Values.

All the leading educationists as well as the National Curriculum Framework 2005ave have found that there is a gap today between the school, home and community and hence to patch up this gap the cooperation and support of the society, our revered Parents and Students is highly solicited

Moving Forward

...Change sometimes happens for a good reason, but other times, it makes a situation worse.

Guilt is a feeling that sometimes comes back to haunt a person. This feeling makes him want to travel in time and make things right. However, there is no remote control in life; there are no pause, stop or rewind buttons. Life goes on and the person deals with the repercussions.

Some students seem naturally enthusiastic about learning, but many need-or expect-their instructors to inspire, challenge, and stimulate them: "Effective learning in the classroom depends on the teacher's ability to maintain the interest in the first place".

Many factors affect a given student's motivation to work and to learn: interest in the subject matter, perception of its usefulness, general desire to achieve, self-confidence and self-esteem, as well as patience and persistence. And, of course, the same value, needs, desires, or wants motivate not all students. Some students will be motivated by the approval of others, some by overcoming challenges.

To encourage students to become self-motivated independent learners I entreat our teachers as well as the parents to  do the following:
• Give frequent, early, positive feedback that supports students' beliefs that they can do well.
Ensure opportunities for students' success by assigning tasks that are neither too easy nor too difficult.
• Create an atmosphere that is open and positive.
• Help students feel that they are valued members of a learning community.
Research has also shown that most students respond positively to a well-organized course taught by an enthusiastic instructor who has a genuine interest
in students and what they learn.
Thus activities we undertake to promote learning will also enhance students' motivation

The DAV institutions had recognized this need for education coupled with modernity and ethics a century earlier and hence this chain of schools.

At M N Jha DAV -  the Teaching Faculty & all other Staff members are committed to the welfare of our students- the future of our country

Let us come together- Join hands for re building a 'New India' - where the students of M N Jha DAV Public School, Jhanjharpur, would be a force to reckon with.
